It’s been quite a week.
What with Jubilee-mania, 2 birthdays, 1 party and an impending BFF wedding, half term has been a wee bit busy and I find myself grovelling to the Twitter and Blog gods for their forgiveness at my apparent abandonment.
But at the end of the day, everything else was more important.
Horrors!
Sorry, but sometimes it’s time to take stock, leave the laptop alone and pay some attention to everyone else. And that is what I’ve done this week. My family and friends have taken precedence, as they should. Sorry bologosphere, sorry twitter, but somewhere, deep in the chapters of Ecclesiastes, I am sure it must say ‘There is a time to blog, and a time not to blog.’
However, I have missed my daily witterings and I am sure that when the husband and kids are back to school and all celebrations are at an end, I will return to the laptop like the Lost Son to his father’s welcoming arms.
You might guess, from my Biblical references, that I might be an RS teacher again soon. Hallelujah! Om! & let’s get into the loft and dig out the resources! My doctorate in housewifery is almost at end and I have failed miserably. However, I can now make a mean birthday cake so all is not lost…honestly. Stay with me.
On the other side of all this I am crossing my legs at the thought of reading one of my blog posts at Britmums Live. I did volunteer for it, but the thought of polite, slow clapping at the end of my rendition is filling me with fear and M&S chocolate with raspberry (PLEASE try it, it’s divine!). I’m sure it will be fine. Really. Fine.
So, hopefully I will be back a-blogging in a few days, but in the meanwhile I intend to celebrate BFF’s wedding/marriage tomorrow (yay!) and no doubt spend Sunday packing school bags and doing some last-minute half-term homework…

You’re absolved! It can be hard finding the time for the whole blogging and Twitter spiel and family have to come first. Well done on the job and for stepping up to the plate for BritMums. I’ll applaud enthusiasticly if you do the same for me as I mumble my way through the dad bloggers session. Deal?! :-)
Deal! :D
Having a break from the blog is a very healthy thing to do …. you always come back more refreshed and inspired with things to write about. I’ve had bloggers block recently and its sucks. Time out and a cuppa!
