Welcome to the first Wednesday Witter! Please do join in the linky below and add your wittersome post about what you’ve been up to this week! And if you could grab the badge code from my sidebar and add the badge to your post I’d me much obliged. Mainly because it took me about an hour and a half to actually get the thing designed and working! And please take the time to read and coment on some of the other posts linked up. Thank you!
I was taken aback on Monday by a phone call from my daughter’s nursery asking if I was coming to parents’ evening? I had no idea it was even happening and thought it a tad odd for a two-year old but along I went! Actually it was lovely, helped by the fact they offered me wine or Pimms when I got there. It was just a quick chat about Littlest and a chance to take her folder home and see photos, record-keeping etc. I love getting a glimpse into what she’s like when she’s apart from us. Pretty similar it seems!
Although we have not had the Biblical rain storms, like most people I am fed up with the weather and it is starting to dull the mood – a bit like SAD in the winter. The summer holidays start for the kids at the end of the week and I am dreading a summer of being stuck inside. We are not going on holiday so have a few day trips planned – all of which require a degree of normality in the weather. Just not wet would be fine…any sunshine a bonus.
Eldest daughter has asked have music lessons. This puts us in a quandary. I would love her to learn an instrument and it is something I always regret never having done. My self-taught renditions of Simon & Garfunkel on the piano do not count! The first hurdle is cost; of lessons and instrument. Secondly comes the questions of which instrument? ( I refuse to let her play anything she has to blow into – my OCD issues I’m afraid). Then there’s the daily battle to make her practise. I am investigating cost and practicalities and then we’ll see…..
This weekend I am off to the Glynde Food Festival in East Sussex – yum! I shall be blogging about it on my foodie blog, What Would Nigella Do? and the nice organisers are even letting me loose to interview some of the celebrity chefs! Pleeease let the sun shine!
Well, that’s about it for me. What have you been up to? Go on….join in! Humour me and feel some blogging love!
#wednesdaywitter

I want the rain to stop too … it has been such a miserable Summer so far.
Apparently it’s not going to…:(
Oh no … you’ve closed the Linky … I was going to link up today!
Was I too previous? Have opened it up again! ;)
I’m afraid I’m also mainly complaining about the weather in my Wednesday witter…
Thanks for hosting Sarah! (I don’t seem to be able to copy the code for the badge, my mouse just don’t want to do anything on it!)
Hmmmm *has a little tinker* Hope I’ve fixed it! I think I had the whole site copy protected….not that anyone would bother!
Thanks so much for joining in! x
Yes it works, thanks! I’ve also remembered to add a link to your blog (brain cells working slowly but getting there eventually). x
Our girls do piano and its £10 for half and hour, which i believe is pretty reasonable. She is a trainee teacher but grade 8 piano and is pretty good with the girls. Just waiting for her to put her prices up. the practice thing is a CONSTANT nightmare tho!!
Oh, that’s not too bad. I cannot bear any more ‘hot cross buns’ on the recorder. I think we might go for it!
