Happy Blog Day, Hello Wall….

Happy Blog Day to meeeeeeeeee!

Yes, a year ago today I dipped my toe into the world of blogging and since then I seem to have slipped into full immersion.  A year ago I moved county, gave up my job and started blogging.  I can honestly say it has been my sanctuary, my sanity and my support.  I have met so many wonderful people with their own blogs and their own stories and YES, I do consider them as friends.  I say a big PAH! to those who question the friendships you can find online.  My meeting of some fellow bloggers at Britmums confirmed that they are indeed real people and they do mostly look like their avatars.  They have stuff to say, a love of writing and a whopping great sense of humour.

So, I hear you ask, what did I do to celebrate my blogoversary (I believe this is the correct spelling, but my old dictionary isn’t quite up to speed…)?  Well, I cleaned the oven.  Twice.  Yes, it was that grim.  Oh, and I visited my mum in hospital.  And bought some compost.  Yep, do it with style…..

I would have baked myself a cake but the oven was soaking in acid for at least four hours (my forearms are now splattered with freckles and acid burns) and it is only at gone 10pm, that I have had the opportunity to blog with the Olympics celebrating in the background and a glass of Macon Villages.

I have been away for a week on ‘holiday’ (more on that another day) and have missed my Macbook and my blog….I’ve now decided I need a 11″ Macbook air to pop into my bag and blog on the go.  I just need to win the lottery first to afford one :(  With this in mind I have actually bought some tickets…..however, the lack of emails over the last two nights suggest that Lakshmi has forsaken me and I will have to earn my techy indulgences.

So, I will be back soon with tales of copulating panthers and peeing children, but for now I have a big bloggy smile on my face and I am heading for the fridge for a top up.
