To wake up to the sickening news that little April Jones has been abducted makes me want to hold my children tight and weep.
I can’t imagine what her parents must be going through and it brings back all the hideousness of poor Madeleine McCann. There aren’t many details at the moment, but all I want to say is that I do hope people don’t start judging the parents like they did the McCanns. Pointing the finger and hinting at blame (as I’ve already seen/heard) makes me livid. Nobody is to blame except the person(s) who took her. Nobody. We can be full of ‘what ifs’, and ‘I wouldn’t have done that’, but we all parent differently and who of us haven’t had a moment when it could have all gone wrong? That moment when they run off in the supermarket, all those trips to A & E, the times we’ve shouted when we shouldn’t have. Who is to say dropping them off to cubs or a piano lesson doesn’t hold possible dangers?
It is the person who actively took April or took Madeleine that is the sole perpetrator of these horrendous events.
I can’t imagine anything worse; I feel physically sick listening to the news and can’t begin to think what those who love and know her are going through. Let’s use all the social media we’re so keen on to keep spreading the word and hopefully April will be found soon.

Really well said. These are the very worst stories …. I find it so hard stomaching stories about harm imposed on children. I really hope April is okay, although I fear the worst ….
Oh, it’s such a terrible, terrible story. I am hoping so hard that she is OK. I look at my own little five year old and cannot even imagine what her parents are suffering.
I agree! The person who is the one to absolutely blame is the person who took her.Maybe people have views on the other events surrounding this case but to point the finger doesn’t help and I think I will steer away from the tv and people that do it!There for the grace of god go I!I may have got that saying wrong but I hope you know what I mean!
