For the last three years I have ordered my children (and my nephews/godson) a letter from Santa. This is run via the NSPCC and you can personalise your letter for your child, choose the appropriate age group and the letter arrives through the post.
It is so lovely and at this time of year equally heartening to give a donation to this great charity.

Hi Sarah, I have belatedly subscribed to both your blogs. I get a bit bogged down on the inbox thing so have discovered my Reader – much more manageable and both your blogs are coming on in now. Am so sorry it has taken me so long because i do enjoy a drool over your cooking as I’m useless and I love this site too. Anyway, did this for my eldest a while back and he still talks about it. it’s time for one for my youngest. Thank you for the pointer. I recommend these too, from the heart.
