Well, as weekends go this one has been from one extreme to the other!
On the plus side, my sister and her gang came to stay which is always good and results in a glorious mayhem. It is aways lovely to catch up with her as she lives a good four hours drive away. We even snuck in a quick drink at the pub (a rare treat!).
On the other hand, after a slap-up Easter Sunday roast, our kitchen drain got well and truly blocked resulting in cruddy water everywhere, much berating of a fairly useless plunger, the lifting of the outside drain cover (NEVER pleasant) and a decent amount of swearing (from Husband) and giggling (from my sis and me). After the ceremonious removal of the U-bend, things were sorted and normal kitchen cleaning resumed i.e as little as possible.
On top of all this, you may or may not have noticed some peculiar behaviour from my blog. Namely, offering guitar lessons instead of my usual wittering. I spent half the weekend in panic, thinking I had been hacked and my beloved blog was gone forever. However, a couple of phone calls to my web-hosting company (yes, open for business on Easter Sunday) and I was kind of reassured that it was due to the change of DNS servers and everything would sort itself out very soon. I have no idea what this means but at least, I hope, things are on the mend…Hopefully, from now on my blog will carry on as normal, but I am still getting used to WordPress and the new format so bear with me on any little glitches!
I am now having a quiet cup of tea and a sneaky 20 mins on the laptop. In about 20 mins my lovely pals from Dorset will arrive and chaos will resume. Can’t wait.
